for the Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V! A nice surprise from @Athene for all of us on Fallout day! PipBoy Notes (v1.0.0) Author: @Athene ( Athene Allen ) Short Description: PipBoy Notes is a demo app intended to show off the new pipboy keyboard library, available for use for anyone in their apps.
Description:
Simple demo app for the Pip-Boy keyboard library. Stores letters, numbers and symbols in a note! But more excitingly we now have a pretty usable keyboard based on the input method from, of all things, Beyond Good and Evil. If you wanna know how to use the library, check the source of pipBoyNotes.js - the API is pretty simple Library Usage: Drop the library in a node_modules folder in the root of your SD card. If you install this app, it does it for you! To use the library, create a keyboard object as so: let pbkb = require('pbkb').initKeyboard(); Then open the keyboard 'modal' using pbkb.textEntryLoop(); This will draw to the bC buffer that is always present in the graphics stack. You MUST stop drawing to any buffer while the keyboard is running else you'll draw over it (or it'll draw over your app!) I recommend killing any intervals before calling textEntryLoop() and then waiting for the library to finish its input by setting up man interval that checks pbkb.finished every 50ms or so. The library also needs input on knob1 and will clear any listeners on knob1 during creation. Once you're done, delete the pbkb object to free up memory. If you need it again recreate - reuse of the object is not supported. Controls: Use the left knob to select your letter. Select UPR/LWR/NUM to change alphabet. Select END to finish inputting, save your note and quit. Ref:
@Athene is one of the OG developers here, awesome work on this! Looking forward to using this keyboard in other apps Have a good day all

Click with the top left knob to interact with an item. Instructions For customizing the items list, or adding your own items, see the JSON Generator. @Aidan's Lab Has been hard at work on this the past few weeks and did a great job! This is looking awesome, great work on it Enjoy!

Have a good night all!
App Update! Custom Radio v3.3.2 Added a handful of UI improvements and fixed a few bugs reported!
Changelog:
Widen the left half of the screen, giving more space for song names. Fix bug of song names leaving behind ghost letters (letters not properly cleared). Reported by @Matchwood! Other misc. polishing like text size and colors, and highlighting. Improve repository README.md

App Update! Custom Radio v3.3.1 Quick patch for minimizing the path too long error.
Changelog:
Quick performance patch. Disallow paths that are too long (avoid file fetch failure) Example RADIO/Galaxy_News_Radio/I_Dont_Want to Set the World on Fire.wav is 64 characters. Max is 60, you will see a "PTL:", path too long prefix on the song if it can't be played.
Ref:
Thanks everyone!
Custom Radio v3.3.0 Added support for nested directories/playlists! You can have custom playlists by nesting your songs in a folder under RADIO/. For example RADIO/MyFolder/MySong.wav. It's important that you do not nest folder deeper than this. It's technically possible but you will get a File path too long error if your file paths are too long. Try to limit each folder/playlist to less than 100 songs for best performance!
Changelog:
Add playlist support (folders) Added folder navigation with visual folder icons and "< BACK" navigation Enhanced the file listing to display both folders and audio files with proper categorization Updated the random playback feature to work within the current folder context

This updates the website from a single-purpose Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V companion app into a terminal for multiple Pip-Boy experiences.
You can now choose between: A Pip-Boy 2000 Mk VI Simulator (Fallout 76) A Pip-Boy 3000 Mk IV Simulator (Fallout 4) A Pip-Boy 3000A Simulator (Fallout New Vegas) A Pip-Boy 3000 Simulator (Fallout 3) A Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V (physical device) Companion App The site also now supports the official Pip-Boy app loader from The Wand Company.
One of my main goals was to let anyone experience a Pip-Boy even without owning the physical hardware like the Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V. This update makes that possible using a phone, tablet, or other IoT device. We can now launch a full Pip-Boy interface in the browser. Can be used for cosplay, conventions, etc. the possibilities are endless after this point.
There is one blocker though, Bethesda hasn't approved for me to use official assets like sounds or images. I have sent several emails to them with no responses, yet. Fingers crossed so we can really make this a REAL Fallout Pip-Boy experience.
